Ingredients
  

  • For the Pizza Base:
  • 1 pre-made pizza crust or homemade pizza dough
  • ½ cup taco sauce or salsa
  • 1 ½ cups shredded Mexican cheese blend cheddar, Monterey Jack, etc.
  • For the Taco Meat:
  • 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 packet or 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • ¼ cup water
  • Toppings:
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives
  • ¼ cup diced red onion
  • ½ cup crushed tortilla chips
  • ¼ cup sour cream optional
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro optional
  • ½ avocado diced (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
  • Cook the Taco Meat:
  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon.
  • Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in taco seasoning and ¼ cup water; simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat.
  • Assemble the Pizza:
  • Place the pizza crust on a baking sheet or preheated pizza stone.
  • Spread taco sauce evenly over the crust.
  • Sprinkle cooked taco meat evenly on top.
  • Add shredded cheese blend over the meat.
  • Bake the Pizza:
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from oven and let it cool slightly.
  • Add Fresh Toppings:
  • Sprinkle shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, black olives, red onion, and crushed tortilla chips over the pizza.
  • Drizzle with sour cream, sprinkle with cilantro, and add diced avocado if using.
  • Serve & Enjoy:
  • Slice the taco pizza with a pizza cutter and serve warm!
