Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Rolling Pin
  • Baking sheet or pizza stone
  • Pizza Cutter
  • Mixing bowls
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • For the Pizza Dough:
  • 2 ¼ tsp 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water 110°F
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • For the Toppings:
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ lb ribeye steak thinly sliced (or sirloin)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 small onion thinly sliced
  • 1 small green bell pepper thinly sliced
  • 1 small red bell pepper thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese shredded
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • ½ cup white American cheese shredded
  • ½ cup Alfredo sauce or garlic butter sauce for the base

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Dough
  • In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  • Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Cover and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Step 2: Cook the Steak and Veggies
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add the remaining olive oil and sauté onions, bell peppers, and garlic for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Step 3: Assemble the Pizza
  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats.
  • Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  • Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce (or garlic butter sauce) over the dough.
  • Layer with half of the shredded cheeses, followed by the cooked steak and sautéed vegetables.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  • Step 4: Bake the Pizza
  • Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for 2-3 minutes before slicing.
  • Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
  • Slice and serve warm with a side of marinara sauce or a drizzle of garlic butter for extra flavor!

Notes

For Extra Flavor: Add a sprinkle of Italian seasoning or crushed red pepper flakes on top before baking.
Alternative Cheeses: Cheez Whiz can be used instead of white American cheese for a more authentic Philly taste.
Steak Tip: Freezing the steak for 20-30 minutes before slicing makes it easier to cut thin slices.
Dough Substitute: Store-bought pizza dough works if you're short on time.
