Ingredients
  

  • For the Beef & Marinade:
  • 1 lb 450g flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Β½ tsp black pepper
  • For the Stir Fry Sauce:
  • ΒΌ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce optional for extra sweetness
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch to thicken
  • ΒΌ cup beef broth or water
  • 1 tbsp garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger grated
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes optional for spice
  • For the Stir Fry:
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil divided
  • 1 bell pepper sliced (red, yellow, or green)
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • Β½ cup snap peas or green beans
  • Β½ cup carrots julienned
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 green onions sliced (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Marinate the Beef
  • In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, cornstarch, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  • Add the sliced beef, tossing to coat evenly. Let it marinate for 10-15 minutes while prepping other ingredients.
  • Step 2: Make the Stir Fry Sauce
  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, honey (or brown sugar), cornstarch, beef broth, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  • Set aside for later.
  • Step 3: Stir Fry the Beef
  • Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat.
  • Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, until browned.
  • Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  • Step 4: Stir Fry the Vegetables
  • Add another 1 tbsp oil to the pan.
  • Toss in the bell peppers, onion, broccoli, snap peas, and carrots. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
  • Step 5: Combine Everything
  • Return the beef to the pan.
  • Pour the stir fry sauce over the beef and vegetables.
  • Stir well and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
  • Step 6: Garnish & Serve
  • Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
  • Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles. Enjoy!

Beef Options: Flank steak, sirloin, or ribeye work best. Slice thinly against the grain for tenderness.
